Edinburgh has decent African shops on Leith Walk but the selection is still limited. Glasgow wins hands-down: the shops near Govanhill have plantain, dried fish, ogbono, yam, and even akara mix. If you're in Edinburgh and desperate, the Leith Walk shops are fine for basics but for a proper haul, train to Glasgow.
